DRAGONFLIES ARE CALLING
The 'magic' of quiet, hidden pools has a enduring fascination through civilisation, mythology and in art.
From Hylas and the Nymphs, through Susannah and the Elders, to The Magician's Nephew and on to fantasy and comic-book adventures, secret pools have a special power in our imaginations.
In this image, different worlds intersect within a woodland lake and the dragonflies spiral in wonder around the strange structure and the lush blooms encased within.

THE PIXEL-KEEPER'S DELIGHT
This intensely mythic image is built upon the conceit that that most vital of technological entities, 'the pixel', is a natural resource that needs farming, maintaining and harvesting.

It also plays with the idea that the Pixel-keeper is almost a creature made of 'light' herself and that like the painting surface we are all, in this screen-based world, defined by 'the pixel' in so many ways.

MIRACLE OF THE ALLOTMENT  [SOLD]
This luminous image evokes a moment in that most wonderful 'golden hour' of English summer evenings. An encounter between two figures as about them swallows swoop and dive in joy.

FOREST BATHING
Somewhere between a 'rave', a vision, a drug-induced trip or an urban myth, this image was inspired by the joy, the mystery and the fearful sublime of our ancient woods.

THE WINCHESTER DIVER [SOLD]
This somewhat startling image is inspired by the remarkable true story of William Walker, a navy deep sea diver who, during 1906-1911 saved Winchester Cathedral from imminent collapse.
